God is counting on you!

Sunshine bliss, a new day kiss, another great day of living I never want to miss!

It is officially summer and I pray with all my heart my dear friends are stepping into this fresh splash of a new season!

As I was awakening this morning I had a fresh spring in my step, I opened my front door and took a big inhale of 100% summer into my lungs!

Here on Vancouver Island we wait all year for this sunshine oasis. I always say…

“God let me never forget the smell of salt water, may I never lose my wonder of the day, what will the day bring, may my heart sing!”

There is something about when seasons fully change, it awakens the soul and revives the spirit.

I don't know about you but I just love the transitions. There is JOY in the transition! It brings a surge of expectancy for the good things ahead.

I love  riding my bike along the ocean and seeing the tide out for miles. I love the smell of the food trucks warming up the fresh oil for fish and chips. I love seeing all of the blooms bursting like a firework show in the daytime, especially the manifold hydrangeas coming up! I cherish the beauty of seeing the bouquets on benches from loved ones that have passed, it creates a heart full of compassion and gratitude for true love will never fail. I smile when I see children running free into the sand collecting shells and crabs. I love counting down the days until the blueberry picking sign is up! I smile when I hear the sound of guitar playing on the sunsets symphony. I get excited for summer Farmers Markets packed with life and everyone lining up for “Fresh batch of the day” cinnamon buns. There is no other way to put it, I LOVE SUMMER and I am counting every day!

A dear friend reached out to me a week ago to congratulate me and send me a word of encouragement. At the end of her note she wrote: 

Cydney.. God is counting on you!

It reached my heart and I want to share those words with you today. 

God is counting on you!

God has given us so much beauty to steward here on this earth. He has put so much greatness inside of you, uniqueness and treasure he wants to unlock through your life by stewarding his blessings through you to so many people.

Perhaps it's a family, or your job, your life assignment, passions and dreams he has placed within you. How about that book you are wanting to write? Maybe it is a nudge to go volunteer at the library and help the kids. Maybe it is going to serve your neighbor. Friends,  God is counting on us, he is going to get his reward through you!

Gosh, you know when she said this to me, I thought…. I have caught myself many times procrastinating or doubting myself. Oh tomorrow, today is too full. Have you ever been there? I need wisdom everyday so I make the right decisions on how to invest my time.

One thing I do know is that our lives are but a breath and though we are still young we must not let our days go by without the revelation that we all have a very special purpose here on earth. 

When I shared last Saturday at the ladies’ high tea one of my key points in my message was all about identity. We can never fulfill our purpose unless we know our identity. Discovering our identity is a daily revelation of God's great love that he has planted within us. So, this week I want to leave you with a simple message. 

What is God counting on you for? Is there a nudge in your heart to start something, or perhaps finish something? Dont let yourself be overwhelmed with it. But take a baby step and start small. Set a small goal each week.

I want to encourage you this summer as we are stepping into refreshment and revival. Nothing can derail your destiny but sometimes our doubt can! If we could wake up everyday and simply hear that still small voice that sings over us : ”You're going to make it, you are going to see the fruit of your faith, you got this, a new strength is within you today”. I want you to think about it.

I really want to send my blessings to you all today on this lovely July day. Thank you for being so trustworthy. You are obviously reading this message today because it's that nudge to remind you of the beauty, worth and value God put inside of you. I am cheering you on, but most importantly… God is cheering you on! He is counting on you for this next season to be your best yet!

Here is a few very special pictures from this past week. It was such an honor to have The Sarah Mclaughlan shine Love's Pure Light Blessing Canada Kimono in her performance on Parliment hill July 1! This was right where we played our harps, yes!  I am so humbled and it was a kiss from heaven to me reminding me- as she sang Angel-- Gods love is for Canada. He loves our nation so much my friends. We must never stop believing for the good things ahead. Sarah had called our office with a passion to see the flag restored and to wear one of my pieces. Please continue to bless this incredible woman who is standing on guard with us for Canada- STRONG AND FREE.

We also had a VERY special guest come with her daughters. Ania who is the owner and founder of Studio 35 fashions- all the way from Sudbury, Ontario arrived and we all enjoyed a lovely lunch on the beach! Today- we also will have a swim together at Rathtrevor Beach! It is such a gift when you come to visit! Just message us when you plan to come. It is our honor to show you the Island.
