I had the most enlightening moment in my garden yesterday…
There I was, wrapped in my favorite modal silk scarf (because even weeding can be elegant), when something profound hit me.
You see, I'd been battling these persistent weeds. You know the kind…
Just when you think your garden is flourishing, they show up uninvited.
Like those little worries that creep into our minds at 3 AM.
And oh, do they multiply!
One day your garden is pristine, the next... well, let's just say it looks like Mother Nature had a wild party and forgot to clean up.
It got me thinking about how we handle the "weeds" in our lives...
- The worry that sneaks in while we're planning our daughter's wedding
- That nagging "what if" voice that keeps us up at night
- The stress that wraps around our hearts like unwanted vines
(Speaking of wrapping beautifully - have you seen our latest Summer Bloom collection? But more on that later...)

What I discovered, sitting there in my garden:
The greatest weed killer isn't harsh chemicals or brute force.
It's love.
[𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞.]
When we water our lives with love…
When we wrap ourselves in it like our favorite silk scarf…
Those weeds of worry simply can't take root.
Think about it…
Every time you catch yourself worrying, that's just a weed trying to steal your sunshine. But my three-step garden wisdom is:
- Notice the weed (acknowledge the worry)
- Pull it out gently (don't fight - release)
- Plant something beautiful in its place (gratitude, prayer, joy)
Just like how you choose to wrap yourself in beauty each morning with your favorite scarf, you can choose to wrap your heart in love
The weeds don't stand a possibility against that kind of elegance.
Speaking of elegance…
Next week, I'll be sharing something special that's been growing in our garden. A fresh collection that captures this very essence of grace and love we've been talking about.

"You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail!"
Well, I'd love to hear from you…
What "weeds" have you been battling lately? And how do you choose to plant love instead?
Please send me an email and let me know. I read every response personally, usually in my garden, wrapped in silk and sipping tea.
With abundant love and grace,
Cydney.
Cydney.
P.S. Remember - you weren't made for weeding. You were made for blooming. 💐
Yes, I agree with pulling the weeds, planting gratitude, love and prayers.
Such unmatched against the weeds! Thank you Cydney :)
Cydney, that was a beautiful Reminder, literally to the world that it really is all about love. Your blog was full of grace. Thank you for sharing your ponderings and revelations.
Thank you for these beautiful words Cydney. And how true. I will gently pull the weed and replace it with love.
Good morning Cydney. Yours is the first email I read this morning and it truly made me pause and reflect on the deep meaning behind your written words which were spoken from your heart. I’ve been very focused on someone else’s issues this last while that have caused me a lot of stress and I’ve been searching for ways to let it go and let them deal with it rather than me trying to fix things. Sometimes it’s not easy to, “Let Go and Let God”. I also helped this friend plant a garden this week in homage to her parents who have now both passed. It was backpacking work but after reading and reflecting on your email, I know I’ll definitely look at things differently when the weeds start showing up along with the vegetables and flowers. I’ll wrap myself in one of your many beautiful scarves I now own and thank God for all I’ve been blessed with rather than focus on the negative. It truly is a wonderful world if we let the sun shine upon us rather than dark clouds.
