When you put on LOVE as your daily covering; everything changes. All the baggage, heaviness, shagg- that extra weight of the world. It falls away.
Sheep have no choice but to wear wool. It is how God created them. Just like us, we have no choice but to be suited in the beautiful bodies and shine in the very skin that God gave us. But can you imagine being a sheep born having to carry that weight every single day of your life? It is Itchy, heavy, and always in matts and stubbornly gets into knots. It is always getting dirty with the realities of the world. (playing in the mud and running through the green pastures)
But what if we like the sheep, could be fully content just the way God made us in the very skin he put us in?
Well, it all starts with putting on the armor of Love’s Pure Light. Every single day. It is an inside job. Wear it in your heart-first.
Once upon a time a wild ambitious Cydney lived in New Zealand while serving on a ministry assignment. Every single day Cydney was riding her bike through the beautiful lush green pastures off to her job in the small town of Dairy Flat - (just outside of Auckland) Every single day she would pass by fields of multitudes sheep. Some very fat, curvy, plump and some very lean, some with lots of wool on, some so heavy with it they could barely even move! Cydney pondered to herself- "many of these sheep would have to carry all this heavy weight every single day- they truly just looked miserable while some of them all sheared up were so content and happy. The joy of the day the sheep all wait for, the day the shaggage gets sheared off! Infact, some fully sheared bare naked with no shagg.
What funny animals who really needed to know how much God loves them in the very skin he put them in. Shagg or no shag."
Again, Cydney thought to herself: “It was interesting and quite comic to be watching the character of the sheep with so much extra weight having to carry on their little and very big furry ball bodies and then the constant trauma if today was their day they were to be sheared. I would watch the Shepherds chase them to the point of exhaustion and traumatized they could barly move, and then they were sheared”
The AHA moment came to Cydney one day. Cydney thought to herself: “I am going to catch one of these sheep with my own two hands and wrap them up with so much love in a Love’s Pure Light scarf!” Many questioned Cydney’s ability to catch a sheep. Well, the mission was accomplished. It took three Shepherds, a chef, and a friend who truly questioned if Cydney could do it.
Well, Cydney accomplished her assignment. She adorned the New Zealand Sheep with Love’s Pure Light scarf. Infact once Cydney got her first one styled up, then along came the others. A life changing moment for the sheep world, now making history. This sheep adored in the most intricate fine silk fabric, lightweight and so full of love- from the inside out! Cydney was giving these sheep a new garment! When this sheep puts on a Love’s Pure Light Scarf, everything changes! “I know who I am! - created in love!”
The message behind the sheep is this: when the sheep puts on love, all the heaviness, the dead weight they have been carrying all those years - just falls off. Just look at these cute faces below. It all falls off when love is worn as a garment. it is a supernatural feeling. You can now go out and conquer the world.
Cydney loves sheep. She has designed many sheep scarves and her own collection of Mongolian sheep’s wool friends. You also will find many sheep hidden in her artwork through the years expressing love and a healthy identity when we have that simple reminder- put on love! It is your best garment you can wear!
